Answers

Yes. You can separate the sentence at “Nearly two years later...” by adding a period after CIA.

Yes, this is a run-on sentence.

There are many commas, but only one period at the end.  There are also many spots where there were opportunities to add another period (to make it a normal sentence).

Here is a revised version:

"In 1960, American pilot Francis Gary Powers was shot down and captured by the Soviets.  This occurred as he flew over the Ural Mountains on an intelligence mission for the CIA. Nearly two  years later, Powers was released in exchange for Rudolf Abel, a KGB spy who had been  caught in the United States."

For the first one I would put strong disagree.

Just because it isn't real, doesn't mean nothing can be learned. Many works of science fiction pose very important moral and ethical questions. Yeah, you can't learn anything scientificaly. But (and I'm sorry if you've never seen this) if you look at the show Stranger Things for example, it poses the question about the ethics of human experimentation. You 100% can learn from sci-fi, maybe just not in a scientific way.

For the second one I would put disagree.

Clearly there are more important things in life. Basically, you aren't the main character. Don't act like it and you will be happy.

For the third one I would put agree (?) This is a really complex question

There are things we learn from the people around us. A good example of this would be racism. You aren't born being racist. It's something you are taught to believe is true. And then there is the other part of the question. If you are being a massive j,erk , the world is going to throw that garbage back at you. If you are taught that you are less, or not as good as other people you will begin to believe it.

I don't know if I can help you with the fourth one.

That question is super layered. So, whatever you feel the answer is, just go for it.

The next 5 are all yes.

It is human to feel. You aren't a bad or weak person for expressing you feelings. The next 4 all come down to moral obligation and human decency. You as a human NEED to treat people will the same amount of dignity you want to be treated with.

The one about isolating yourself would be agree.

Refusing to face your problems won't make them go away. If anything it gives your issues time to fester.

And the last one is 100% up to you, but people don't really realize that the movie version of the monster, and the book version of the monster are different.

I know this was a bit vague, but I hope it helps you with your assignment.
