The kinetic energy in joules of a 50-kilogram runner running at meters per second is modeled by the equation
Answer:
25v²
Explanation:
The kinetic energy in joules of a 50-kilogram runner running at v meters per second is modeled by the equation
Solution:
Kinetic energy is the energy of a body due to its motion. The kinetic energy of a body is maintained until there is a change in velocity. Kinetic energy can also be defined as the work done in accelerating a body from rest to a specified velocity. The SI unit is in Joules (J)
The formula for kinetic energy is:
K.E = (1/2)mv²
where m is the mass of the object and v is the velocity of the object.
Given that m = 50 kg and v = v, hence:
K.E = (1/2) * 50 * v² = 25v²
K.E = 25v²

Identical twins were separated at birth and raised by two different families. Years later, one twin was a physically fit member of the cross-country team, and the other twin was overweight with slightly higher-than-normal blood pressure. The differences in these twins could be explained by the fact that
Answer: Environment can influence expression of genes
Explanation:
Identical twins almost share everything at birth, and so much of it, that would make you think they would both grow and rarely be differentiated from another but this differentiation can be possible when they share different location. Locations give genes room for expression, basically weather conditions, this could impact in how a child would grow, their size, colour e.t.c
That after a period of time, they would be a notable difference between the twins after sharing different locations.

Answer: Social rules should be amended or changed as time goes. The world is becoming more sophisticated, things are done faster and easier although it is causing damages too as it's not really easy for people to cope with the change happening in the world
Explanation:
Social rules should be amended or changed as time goes. The world is becoming more sophisticated, things are done faster and easier although it is causing damages too as it's not really easy for people to cope with the change happening in the world. One of the rules that would need to be amended is that regarding dowries. Dowries can be done in a better way than what he's been held, which puts so much burden on the man. They could make the cost much cheaper or bring up a new means to show you are now capable to marry someone
Why do you think these people were willing to risk their lives to end slavery
Answer:
Any cause needs speakers and organizers. Any mass movement requires men and women of great ideas.
But information and mobilization are not enough. To be successful, revolutionary change requires people of action — those who little by little chip away at the forces who stand in the way. Such were the “conductors” of the Underground Railroad. Not content to wait for laws to change or for slavery to implode itself, railroad activists helped individual fugitive slaves find the light of freedom. The Underground Railroad was not an actual railroad but was instead a network of safe houses and routes slaves could take to escape from the South to freedom in the North.
The Underground Railroad operated at night. Slaves were moved from “station” to “station” by abolitionists. These “stations” were usually homes and churches — any safe place to rest and eat before continuing on the journey to freedom in the North, sometimes as far away as Canada. Often whites would pretend to be the masters of fugitives to prevent their capture. Sometimes lighter-skinned African Americans took this role. In one spectacular case, Henry “Box” Brown arranged for a friend to put him in a wooden box, where he had only a few biscuits and some water. His friend mailed him to the North, where bemused abolitionists received him in Philadelphia.
Most of the time, however, slaves crept northward on their own, looking for the signal that designated the next haven. This was indeed risky business because slave catchers and sheriffs were constantly on the lookout. Over 3,200 people are known to have worked on the railroad between 1830 and the end of the Civil War. Many will remain forever anonymous.
Perhaps the most outstanding “conductor” of the Underground Railroad was Harriet Tubman. Born a slave herself, after she escaped to Philadelphia, she began working on the railroad to free her family members. Throughout the 1850s, Tubman made 19 separate trips into slave territory. She was serious about her mission. She threatened to shoot any slave who had second thoughts with the pistol she carried on her hip. By the end of the decade, she was responsible for freeing about 300 slaves. When the Civil War broke out, she used her knowledge from working the railroad to serve as a spy for the Union.
Needless to say, slave owners did not appreciate the Underground Railroad. Although they disliked Abolitionist talk and literature, the railroad was far worse. To them, these were simple cases of stolen property. Slave catchers often travelled to the North to try to recapture freed slaves. When Northerners rallied around freed slaves and refused to compensate former slave owners, Southerners felt they were being robbed of property.
This disagreement over freed slaves llaysyet another brick of the foundation for the South to eventually secede from the Union and help spark the American Civil War.

For each of the following scenarios, indicate if it would necessarily lead to crowding out or not, and explain your reasoning. Assume a closed economy.
Assume that fiscal receipts equal outlays when the Federal Reserve increases the discount rate.
Answer: No crowding out effect
Explanation:
Crowding out effects only occur when the government's budget is in deficit and they have to borrow to make up for the deficit. If the budget is not in deficit as shown above, the government would not need to borrow money.
Whilst an increase in the discount rate would increase the cost of borrowing, it would not crowd out investment because some firms would still be able to borrow at the higher rates.
